Lexelle-sponsored Tarran Mackenzie was back to winning ways at Oulton Park while his brother Taylor made a welcome return from an appendix operation.
Tarran qualified in third position on the grid and had to stay patient before making a late move to take the checkered flag.
It was his third victory of the season and moves him to secons in the championship – keeping his slim hopes alive.
He said: “Like Cadwell Park two weeks ago, I felt confident and had a fast pace all weekend. The difference this time was I finished the job off properly with a victory!
“I didn’t make a very good start but I stayed patient and picked the five riders in front of me off one by one then got my head down on the last few laps.
“I had to be slightly defensive on the last lap but I was pretty sure I had everything covered. I moved up to second in the championship and while it is unlikely I can take the Pirelli Superstock 600 title I’ll be doing everything I can to win the last two rounds at Silverstone and Brands Hatch.”
Brother Taylor admitted he was happy just to be back on the bike so soon after his visit to hospital but managed two top 20 Superbike finishes
He said: “At the beginning of last week I thought there would be no chance of me racing at Oulton Park but each day the discomfort eased and I was passed fit to ride on Friday.
“My fitness has definitely been affected but I got some good testing in over the three days and once again improved my feeling with the bike. It was a triple header race weekend so while my pace over a lap was good I was less consistent towards the end of the races.
“I always knew this would be a difficult weekend so I’m happy with two top twenty finishes and look forward to be fully fit for the Assen BSB round in the Netherlands in two weeks. I must say a big thanks to all the BSB medics for their help recently.”
