Lexelle-sponsored rider Alex Lowes insists he has learned from his performance in Sepang and is looking forward to challenging at the front in Misano this weekend.
Lowes had to “dig deep” for a ninth place finish in the second race in Malaysia after picking up an injury in a crash during the first encounter
The Voltcom Crescent Suzuki rider was the innocent party in a collision that started between Loris Baz and Tom Sykes, the latter careering into the Suzuki on his outside and taking both out of the race.
The crash nearly forced Lowes to miss the second race but battled on and recovered some late ground to take ninth place.
“There’s not much I can say about race one, but I definitely learnt something in race two,” Lowes said.
“I really didn’t feel good at all, it was a big impact in the race one crash, but I dug deep and it was a good experience overall on a new circuit.
“It is a great track at Sepang and I wish I could have done better, but now I’m really looking forward to Misano and seeing how close we can get to the front.”
Round 7 of the WSBK takes place on Sunday June 22 at Misano, Italy.
