Lexelle’s John McGuinness has £10K watch stolen from hometown

Lexelle-sponsored motorcyclist John McGuinness has had a £10,000 watch stolen in his hometown of Morecambe, police have said.

The watch is engraved “TT Senior Winner” and was presented to him after he won the race on the Isle of Man last year.

It is thought it was taken from the glove compartment of a van parked on Mayfield Drive some time between Saturday evening and Monday morning.

The BBC has reported that the 21-time TT winner is offering a reward for the watch’s safe return.

McGuinness is one of the most successful TT riders, and became the first man to break the 130mph barrier on the course in 2007.
