Lexelle-sponsored Taylor and Tarran Mackenzie came away from Oulton Park smiling after both scored strong results in their respective championships.
Taylor finished 6th in Sunday’s Supersport sprint race and backed this up with a 10th place finish in the feature race on Monday.
While his goal is podiums finishes, this was a solid weekend and moved the Tyco Suzuki up five places to 9th in the overall championship.
Taylor claims there is still plenty of room for improvement.
“Oulton was much better than Brands as I had two decent finishes but I still need to be closer to the front,” he said.
“I lost time in practice with wrong suspension set ups and my opening laps weren’t the best. We have testing planned in the next few weeks so I’ll work hard to come back stronger at Snetterton.”
Younger brother Tarran made another leap forward in the Superstock 600 class qualifying in 19th position but after a great start fought his way through to 10th at the flag. He is now 15th in the championship but only a few points off the top ten.
Tarran said: “I had a faultless weekend and made progress every time I rode the WD40 Kawasaki.
“Oulton Park is a real riders track and taught me a lot when it comes to riding 600s.
My start was good and after only one big moment on the last lap I was over the moon with my best result so far. My bike is working perfectly so I can’t wait until my next race which is in two weeks time.”
