Lexelle-sponsored Tarran Mackenzie landed his first win in the 600 superstock class with a superb performance at Knockhill in Scotland.
After qualifying second on the grid, Tarran stormed to victory on his Stauff Connect Kawasaki, setting the fastest lap along the way.
The result still leaves Tarran in third place in the overall championship but he gained on the leaders and is full of confidence heading to Brands Hatch in two weeks.
“I’m so happy to achieve another of my 2015 goals in by winning my first superstock 600 race,” Tarran said.
“I love going back to Scotland so it was extra special to win at my home track.
“The race was stopped a few laps early due to rain but I was already increasing my lead and at a comfortable pace.
“I’m still third in the championship but closed down the points gap to the leading two. My bike performed perfectly all weekend so I have a good feeling for the rest of the season.”
It was also a positive weekend for brother Taylor who was making his first visit to the circuit on his WD40 Kawasaki Superbike,
He finishing practice just 0.6 seconds off the fastest rider and although still starting towards the rear of the grid he further improved his lap times en route to 16th and 19th place finishes respectively in Sunday’s races.
“Knockhill was physically tough on the Superbike but once again I learned loads and finished the weekend off with competitive lap times.
“I lost some track time on Friday due to a small technical problem but I worked hard to make up for lost time in the other sessions.
“In the last race I was 0.9 seconds off a new lap record set by four times BSB Champion, Shane Byrne so I have to be happy with my progress.
“My brother was awesome over the weekend so we both can’t wait to get to the very different Brands Hatch in two weeks.
