Lexelle-sponsored Taylor Mackenzie fought his way from the back of the grid to score valuable championship points at Cadwell Park.
An electrical fault meant the 21-year-old wasn’t able to take part in qualifying on Saturday but battled from the back to claim a 14th place and two points in Sunday’s race.
On Monday, Taylor was up against it again starting from 17th place but managed to grab more points from a seventh place finish.
“After the weekend we were having I was also more than happy to grab seventh place on Monday,” Taylor said.
“Starting 17th on the grid it was never going to be easy so to come away with some decent points is probably the best I could have hoped for after a difficult weekend.”
Taylor is hoping his fortunes will change at Donington in two week’s time
“I really cannot wait to get to the next three tracks as they should suit both me and my Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600,” he added.
“I hope we can finally have some good luck and be on the podium, which is where I desperately want to be!”
His brother, and fellow Lexelle-sponsored rider Tarran endured an even tougher weekend but the 18-yeard-old is still smiling
Tarran said: “Like my brother my weekend was also difficult as I missed most off my Superstock 600 practice after a big crash on Saturday.
“I was very sore for race day but once the lights went out all my aches and pains seemed to disappear!
“I found good pace in the greasy conditions so was happy to come back from 25th on the grid to 9th position after six laps.
“With a few laps to go I was still catching riders but then I had to retire with a technical problem.
“These things happen in racing so now it is onwards and upwards for DoningtonPark!”
