Lexelle-sponsored Taylor Mackenzie is eyeing up a slot in the top class of British Superbike racing after a strong finish to the 2014 season.
The Tyco-Suzuki rider picked up his first podium of the season in the penultimate round at Silverstone before recording a battling fifth place finish in the final round at Brands Hatch.
He also chalked up a 13th place in the second race despite coming off the track and having to fight from the back of the field
It meant a 10th place finish in the overall Supersport standings but the 21-year-old has set his sights on bigger and better things.
He said: “I really enjoyed the whole weekend at Brands and finished the season feeling really confident for the future.
“I was strong all weekend in all conditions and got the very best from my Tyco Suzuki. Sunday’s off track excursion was just bad luck.
“I’ve learned so much this year and while my bike isn’t the fastest it has made me dig deep to become a better rider.
“I am very grateful to the many people who make my racing possible and can’t wait to get a plan in place to ride in the Superbike class in 2015. Watch this space”!
Dad Niall added: “Taylor had a positive weekend with a solid 5th place in Saturday’s race. He made another great start on Sunday but Graeme Gowland crashed on the first lap taking Taylor off the track. He scrambled back on in last position and charged through to 13th at the flag.
“We have no definite plans in place for the boys but rest assured will be in touch the moment we have any news. Many thanks for everyone’s generous support over 2014.”
