Lexelle-sponsored Taylor Mackenzie has set his sights on another podium finish in the final round of the BSB Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch.
The 21-year-old clinched his first podium of the season last time out at Silverstone and his hoping for more of the same on his Tyco Suzuki GSX-R 600.
Mackenzie is currently in 10th place in the overall standings after a mixed season but could climb as high as eighth with a good performance at Brands.
“Silverstone was a superb feeling finally getting the podium that everyone in the team deserved,” Mackenzie said.
“And I enjoyed it so much I’d love to be up there again this weekend. I’ve had an enjoyable year with the Tyco boys and I’d like to finish the season in a positive frame of mind heading into the winter break.”
Team Manager Philip Neill insists spirits are high in the Tyco Suzuki camp going into the final round.
“It’s certainly been a tough season all round but the spirits in our team are as high as ever,” Neill said.
“Everyone will pull in the right direction to try and give all three riders a strong finish to the year.
“Brands has been very kind to us in the past on the final weekend, so a touch of that would be very welcome. We know the GSX-R package is good enough to do the job both in Superbike and Supersport at this circuit – going on previous visits – so let’s see what we can do.”
In the 600 Superstock class, brother Tarran Mackenzie – part of Team WD-40 – also sits in 10th place in the overall standings but could climb a few places with a good result.
