The fourth round of the Pirelli National Superstock Championship at Donington Park saw Lexelle-sponsored Taylor Mackenzie claim his third win in four meetings.
Practice went well for Taylor, with only a few minor adjustments necessary to his Buildbase BMW 1000RR before comfortably claiming his fourth consecutive pole position of the series.
His start wasn’t perfect but he got to the front of the field after four laps, pulled out a four second lead then controlled the race to the chequered flag.
“This year seems like a dream after now taking my third win at my local round in front of my friends and family,” Taylor said.
“I really enjoyed the race especially as the other four riders in the group were previous Superstock 1000cc champions.
“I also achieved my goal of extending the championship lead as we go into the summer break.
“I’m riding well and feeling strong but I have to thank my team for putting an incredible bike under me at every circuit this year.
“It’s Knockhill in Scotland next which is my other ‘home’ round so I can’t wait to race north of the border.”
Taylor has Knockhill and Snetterton tests in the coming weeks before heading to Scotland.
