Natasha 1One of Lexelle’s youngest staff members has been given a full-time position with the company after completing her apprenticeship.

Natasha Charles, who joined Lexelle in March last year as an Insurance Administration Assistant, has been rewarded for her hard work after completing her Level 2 BTEC award in Business and Administration.

Nineteen-year-old Natasha, who lives in Sheffield, has spent the last 12 months assisting in all areas of insurance administration.

Working alongside Operations Manager Steve Gaynor, her duties have included assisting in broker accounting, management MI reporting, and central maintenance of broker and insurance contracts.

Natasha says she has learnt a lot over the last year and feels she has really benefitted from working in an office environment.

“I think it’s very beneficial for young people to be in a real working environment rather than just in the classroom,” she said.

“You get to see in my case how an office operates and you understand how to deal with problems that wouldn’t occur in the classroom.

“I’m very pleased to have been taken on full-time by Lexelle where I hope to be very successful in the future.”

Steve added: ”The apprenticeship scheme was a new venture for Lexelle and has proved to be a great success.

“It did involve significant investment in training and mentoring time in the early stages but that has all been worthwhile as Natasha has developed into a highly competent Operations Assistant and a valued member of our team.”
