Solid outcome at Snetterton

Race 1 at Snetterton on 17th June saw a 6th place finish for Tarran and 11th for Taylor in the brothers’ best result this season. Many riders struggled with tyre grip issues when temperatures dropped after hot weather during practice and qualifying.

Starting Race 2 at 7th and 8th on the grid respectively, Tarran ran into trouble almost straightaway, breaking down on the first lap. Taylor finished in 12th place.

Tarran commented: “I’m happy with my best result of the season, however three major technical issues over the weekend meant I lost a lot of track time, costing me the chance of even stronger results. No one was to blame and the MCAMS Yamaha Team were as brilliant as ever so I just have to be patient. Another positive was finishing just ten seconds from the winner in race one, the closest I’ve been so far.”

And Taylor said: “Posting my best results of the season at Snetterton was great, but I feel the drop in track temperature saw my lap times drop off quickly in both races. I made good starts but it was really frustrating not being able to hang on to the top ten riders. I have to work harder on my riding and also to find a set up that will allow me to manage tyre performance later in the races. Unlike Tarran my bike was ran perfectly all weekend so a big thanks as always to the awesome Moto Rapido Ducati Team.”

The next round is at Knockhill, 6th to 8th July.
