Over the weekend it was round 4 for Tarran in the Superbike World Championship at Misano.
Tarran posted solid qualifying times, only coming in 1 to 2 seconds slower than the leaders and posting a quicker time every session. Tarran managed to qualify in 21st but again posted his quickest time of the weekend so far and 2 seconds off the leader.
Race 1 didn’t go as planned for Tarran as he had to retire after 13 laps. Race 2 went better for Tarran as he posted his quickest time of the weekend at 1’34.733, finishing him in 19th place.
This is what Tarran had to say about his weekend: “I can’t hide the fact that Misano has been my toughest round of the season so far. After four days of testing in the break, I was hopeful to carry on my points-scoring run from the previous round in Assen, but it wasn’t to be. My best finishes were a disappointing 18th and 19th plus a retirement from Saturday’s race”.
Tarran then went on to say: “I was happy with my qualifying pace, but the truth is we still don’t have a package that is competitive over race distance. I’m more than ready to compete in the top ten but I need a bike under me to get the job done. My team work tirelessly but we are struggling to make progress at the moment.
This is racing and as tough as it is we are an incredibly strong team so will continue the fight for a solution in the lead-up to the next round at Donington Park”.
