Paul Jordan of Davies Motorsport claimed his maiden victory on Friday afternoon in a shortened, single-lap Historic Junior Classic TT race at the Isle of Man's Mountain Course.

Normally, a simple 3-lap dash to the chequered flag had to be reduced to 1 lap of the 37.7-mile course, due to weather disruption earlier in the day.

As Jordan reached the first timing point early on in the race, he trailed the qualifying pace setter, Evans, by 7.5 seconds.

In sector 2 at Ballaugh Bridge, Jordan hit the front, having turned his deficit into a 0.8-second advantage, coming at 8 seconds quicker than Evans from the end of sector 1. Shortly after, Jordan's closest competitor, Evans, retired from the race.

Coming into sector 4, Jordan led Harrison by 3.2 seconds, but this was quickly extended throughout the sector by more than 5 seconds. With 5.5 miles of open road to the end of sector 4, Jordan led by 8.4 seconds with just over 6 miles of the course left to go.

Coming into the 6th and final sector and the home stretch, it was Harrison who crossed the line first, but it was Jordan who clinched the victory by over 9 seconds, coming in with a time of 21:47.423 and a speed of 103.890mph.
