Carrie was back riding over the weekend, this time, in her 2nd year at the Cleveland National Trial, Guisborough, North Yorkshire.
The already difficult course was proving even harder due to the poor weather conditions throughout the night making it more of a challenge for Carrie. Despite the difficult conditions, Carrie managed to battle through the first 10 sections of the course, scoring well throughout.
Carrie stayed consistent throughout the rest of the trial, finishing with a flurry of good scores. After reflecting on the trial, Carrie could see the improvements she’s made since her last road trial, and therefore, hopes to take that forward into the rest of the season.
This is what Carrie had to say on the trial: “I got underway and managed to battle through the first 10 sections, in which there was some pretty big intimidating parts. The day remained dry but was soggy from the night which added to the challenge alongside the already testing sections. I definitely felt more small improvements in my riding from my last Road Trial which shows that all the hours I’m putting in are paying off slowly but surely”.
We’ll next see Carrie again this weekend for the start of the Ladies British Championships with rounds 1 and 2 taking place over Saturday and Sunday at Nene Valley and also North Berks.
