Take a look at how the Davies Motorsport Classic team have got on in their first few meetings of the season:

Mallory Park

The Davies Motorsport Classic race team’s season got underway in March earlier this year, with the first event taking place at Mallory Park in the Classic Racing Motorcycle club championship. For the first meeting of the season, Jorge Halliday was riding on both the Yamaha and the Honda, with 9 races taking place across 3 different classes.

The Honda gave the team some great results with 2 wins and 2 second-place finishes with the bike, and Jorge performed at a high level.

The Yamaha was too far behind, also providing 2 wins, along with a 3rd place finish and unfortunately a non-start due to a stall. It also achieved a 3rd place finish in the ACU National race against high-quality opposition.

Anglesey

After a month’s break, round 2 was underway at Anglesey in May. With Jorge not able to make it to the meeting, he was replaced with experienced rider, Mike Hose.

On Saturday, Mike managed a 4th and 5th place finish on the Honda in the Junior 350 race class as well as a 2nd place finish on the Yamaha.

On Sunday, Mike went better on the Honda with a 3rd and 4th place finish in the Junior 350 race class. Sunday was looking like a promising end, but Mike crashed very heavily at the Corkscrew bends, doing damage to himself and the Yamaha.

Isle of Man Pre TT

With no rain in the build-up to the race for 5 weeks, it quickly turned for the worse when it came to race weekend. It was torrential rain for the first practice, and Mike pulled in after the first lap with water in the electronics, and the team struggled for the next 2 days replacing everything.

When it came to race time, Mike managed a 6th Place in very poor conditions, but the team and Mike were just grateful for the result.

After finishing off at the Isle of Man, the bikes are currently getting prepared for Donington Park in early August, before the biggest race of the year, the Isle of Man Classic TT, with rider Paul Jordan.
