A fundraising duo from Lexelle have played their part in raising awareness and funds for men’s health by taking part in Movember.
Dennis Langley, right, and Harvey Harding, left, were careful to keep the razor away from their top lips throughout November to raise £309.02 for the charity through online donations and office collections.
The pair joined millions of others across the world to participate in the popular fundraiser which is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
Dennis, who has taken part in Movember for the last three years, said he was pleased to have raised more than £300 for such an important cause.
“It’s a fairly easy way to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause. It was getting a bit itchy towards the end but it was good fun and definitely got people talking – which is the whole point,” he said.
The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during November, to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs.
After starting in Australia in 2003, the Movember charity soon went global with more than four million moustaches being grown worldwide.
The Movember Foundation currently runs official campaigns across 21 countries and is gaining more popularity each year.
