Over the weekend it was the second round of the World Superbike Championship for Tarran, taking place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Tarran got off to a positive start on Friday with his qualifying lap times getting much closer together, compared to the first round in Australia. It also allowed Tarran to gather data to help understand the bike better as well as the circuit.

Tarran remained very consistent throughout the weekend with lap times across both races being similar. In both races, Tarran’s fastest lap was just under 2 seconds slower than the leader resulting in a 16th and a 17th placed finish, but with plenty of positives to take away.

This what Tarran had to say on Round 2: “I was happy to leave round two of the World Superbike Championship in Catalunya with a respectable 16th place finish and feeling even more comfortable on the MIE Honda. Long runs through practice helped to understand the bike, especially with high tyre degradation at this Spanish circuit. We’re gathering good data now and I’m gelling perfectly with my technical staff. My goal as we head to Assen is to finish in the points and we’re all working hard to make this happen. I’m loving racing once again and confident we’ll be even stronger in a few weeks’ time”.

We’ll next see Tarran in round 3 of the World Superbike Championship, taking place at the Assen Circuit in Netherlands on the 19th to the 21st of April.
