In preparation for the upcoming Phillip Island WSBK Official Test on 29/02, Tarran got out on the track on his new bike he’ll be using for the 2024 season.
His first laps on the 2024 Petronas MIE Honda CBR1000RR were steady, but he soon fell in love with his new companion for the season. Tarran focused on getting the ride position set so he was comfortable before pushing for lap times. However, after lunch, things weren’t going to plan, as Tarran explains:
“After lunch my pace was picking up nicely when I crashed being slightly off line while passing some slower riders. Unfortunately, this was on one of the fastest corners of the circuit, and while I was only bruised my bike was destroyed.”
Although this wasn’t the ideal start to the 2024 season, we’re sure things will start to progress positively for Tarran from here onwards!
