MGM Racing Performance is pleased to announce that the team and Tarran Mackenzie will remain in the Superbike World Championship in 2026. The German crew is set to compete once again with the Ducati Panigale V4 R, as they did for the first time this season. Team owner Michael Galinski made excellent use of the few weeks following this year’s season finale in Jerez de la Frontera, pulling out all the stops to secure a budget for 2026.
The German group has previously worked with renowned riders such as Jonas Folger, Eugene Laverty, Loris Baz, Garrett Gerloff, and Scott Redding in WorldSBK and embarked on a new chapter with Ducati in 2025.
After Redding parted ways with the team, the crew enjoyed a successful final run in 2025 with Tarran Mackenzie. The Scotsman and the now experienced WSBK team gelled well and achieved a clean top-10 run at the Jerez de la Frontera finale, finishing ninth, eighth, and seventh in the final two long feature races and the Superpole race.
Mackenzie boasts an impressive career. The 30-year-old has competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the Moto2 World Championship before winning the British Superbike Championship in 2021 and securing his first World Supersport victory in 2023. MGM Racing Performance is now delighted to enter its sixth year in the Superbike World Championship with the talented Briton.

“I’m so happy to be continuing with MGM Racing for 2026! Joining Michael and his team in Hungary was a real pleasure and brought that enjoyment back into my racing that I had lost, as well as confidence and by the end of the season I really started to feel like my old self again. From having no ride to then achieving my best results in WSBK was something I couldn’t have imagined and to end the year like we did in Jerez was the perfect way to go into the off season. My journey in WSBK so far hasn’t been an easy one but I really feel like I’ve found my home with this team and I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings”.
Michael Galinski, Team Owner
“After 40 years in motorsport, which I look back on with pride and joy, this year, or rather the first half of the year, was a disaster: not because of the results, but because of the disappointments of some people. I could talk a lot about empty promises and the frustration they cause, but it won’t get me anywhere. The fact is: after a difficult year with many disillusions, we have now found the courage to look ahead again. There are still good people, and the Mackenzie family is certainly one of those! With them, with their friendly and professional approach, the joy has returned to the team. For me, motorsport is a lot of work, stress, and money, but the most important thing is the joy within the team and when everyone pulls together. After Tarran’s top performances and several meetings with Niall Mackenzie, we have come to the conclusion that we will compete in the 2026 WSBK with Taz. Most of our sponsors are staying on board, and we are in negotiations with new ones. This means that the only German team will remain in the WSBK paddock. We are looking forward to work and improve with Tarran and Ducati. If we can establish ourselves in the top 10, that will be a great success for us. I would like to thank all sponsors, patrons, and especially the fans of MGM Racing Performance who have always stood by us, even in difficult times. We will be there for everyone in 2026 as well and will give our best”.
