Due to Tarran’s accident after coming off his bike at Donington Park on the Saturday of round 5, he has been advised by his Petronas MIE Honda Racing Team to sit out of the next round taking place this week at Portimão, Portugal.
Tarran suffered a concussion in the fall after high siding on lap 1 at Donington. This ruled him out of the race on Sunday, as well as the following week taking place in the Czech Republic, where he won the last time out.
This is what Tarran had to say about his injury:
“I’m disappointed to be missing this weekend’s round in Portugal but after a pre-race check-up, I’ve been advised to rest up again this weekend. I’m feeling much better after my accident at Donington Park, but I have to follow medical protocol and be 100% fit before returning to the track.
I like to thank my team and medical staff for their help and patience over the past weeks and can’t wait to be back in action at the next round in Magny Cours”.
We hope to see Tarran back out on the track as soon as possible, with the next round being on the 6th – 8th of September, for the Motul French round at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.
