After recovering from an injury suffered in Estoril in the previous round, Tarran was back fit and ready for the final round of the World Superbike championship. The Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, Andalucia once again hosts the season finale as Tarran looks to finish the season strong after a run of good performances.
Tarran got the last round of the season underway on Friday morning in the first of three free practice sessions. Tarran managed to complete 18 laps in the session with everything running smoothly, and posting a best time of 1:39.797, placing him in 12th and just over a second off the leader.

An early start on a busy Saturday for Tarran started with the last free practice session of the round with Tarran managing his workload, only completing 8 laps. Despite this, Tarran posed his best time of the weekend so far with a 1:38.780, placing him in 9th.
Qualifying got underway just before noon with Tarran confident of posting a good finish after some solid racing across the practice sessions. Again, Tarran completed 8 laps in the session, and once again, setting a new best time of 1:38.229. This time meant Tarran would start 10th on the grid for race 1 in Jerez.
Starting in 10th for the first race of the weekend, Tarran got off the line well and maintained his position well and got himself into 9th in the opening laps. Throughout the second half of the race, he hounded the rider in front trying to overtake into 8th, but he couldn’t quite make a move and get in front. Tarran crossed the line in 9th, earning himself more valuable championship points.
Sunday brought a close to the 2025 season with 2 races left to go. The first of those being a Superpole race on Sunday morning with a chance to add some more points to the standings. This was a 10-lap sprint race and a chance to improve Tarran’s grid position for race 2. Starting in 10th, Tarran got into 6th in the last stages of the race but a late overtake meant a 7th placed finish for Tarran. This also meant a 3rd row grid position in race 2 for Tarran and a chance for more championship points. This 7th place also gave Tarran 3 more points to his standings.
The final race of the 2025 season got underway on Sunday afternoon with Tarran hoping for his best weekend yet in the World SBK. It was again another 20 laps of solid racing from Tarran managing to stay in front of a chasing pack and crossing the line in 8th place.
The 8th placed finish, along with Tarran’s other impressive finishes of 9th and 7th meant that he earned 18 points, marking his best round to date. It also pushed onto 45 points for the season, ending up in 19th place for the overall standings.
This is what Tarran had to say on the final round of the season:
“The final round of the World Superbike Championship at Jerez turned out to be my best ever weekend of World Championship racing.
For once, everything ran smoothly from the first lap of practice on Friday to the final lap of race three on Sunday. I’ve been on a steep learning curve since switching to the MGM Bonovo Team Ducati, but my crew have been fantastic throughout.
Qualifying 10th in Jerez, it was a huge step forward and good starts saw me finish 9th, 7th and 8th respectively over the three races.
I’m not sure what the future holds at this point, but I couldn’t be happy going into the off season with strong results”.
Everyone at Lexelle are thrilled at the way Tarran finished the season off on a real high and are excited to see what’s to come in 2026.
