After another positive outing last time out in France, Tarran was raring to go for round 10 of the World Superbike Championship. This time, MotorLand Aragón, Spain, hosted the event, where Tarran achieved two 18th-place finishes last season.

Tarran got his round underway on Friday morning with the first free practice session. Tarran managed to complete 10 laps and came in with a time of 1:50.267, placing him in 13th and just under 2 seconds off the leader.

After a short break, Tarran was back out for the second free practice session and with temperatures rising, conditions were perfect for some fast lap times. Tarran managed to complete 18 laps in the session with his best time coming in at 1:50.139.

It was an early start on Saturday for the final free practice session, with Tarran only completing 10 laps. He came in with a time of 1:50.683 and placed 19th straight after the qualifying session, where Tarran managed to post his best time yet of 1:48.947 and came in 18th.

Race 1 got underway on Saturday afternoon, and having shown good pace throughout practice and qualifying, Tarran felt more than ready for the race. His opening laps saw him fighting for 12th place, so finishing in the top ten was a realistic goal. Unfortunately, after 3 laps, the MGM Bonovo Ducati ground to a halt with a rare technical issue, so today it wasn't meant to be.

With the bike all fixed, Tarran was ready to go again and bring home the result he and the team deserved.

Race 2 got underway on Sunday with Tarran getting off to a fast start and in the hunt for a top 10 finish. As he got into the race, groups started to form with packs of riders, with Tarran's group stretching from 10th to 16th. He managed to hold off the majority of those crossing the line in 11th and just 0.4 seconds from that top 10 finish he so desperately wanted. It did, however, mean Tarran gained 5 points in the championship standings, pushing him into the top 20, onto 25 points.

This is what Tarran had to say on his round:

"I'm only three races in racing the Ducati with lots to learn, but MGM Bonovo Ducati have been so good in understanding what I need from the Ducati Panigale V4S.

It feels like Christmas every day now in the paddock, so I can't wait for Portugal in two weeks".

We'll next see Tarran next weekend for the Penultimate round of the World SBK, this time at the Circuito Estoril, Portugal.
