It was the second Red Bull MotoGP Rookies event of the season in sweltering Jerez, Spain.
In his first race, Rhys finished 20th with a time of 26’24.327. He had a better start to the second race managing to knock off over a second of his lap time but sadly came off his bike after 8 laps, resulting in a DNF.
This is what Rhys had to say on the races: “I enjoyed both races but the second one was the best until I crashed as I managed to shorten my lap times by over a second. I have learnt lots this weekend after following some really fast riders so now I can adapt my style to progress forward.”
